Course Description

Course DescriptionThis course introduces and explains the various principles involved in studying and interpreting the Bible.  The focus of the study is to be able to understand and faithfully apply the principles of interpretation in studying the Word of God. Topics include inspiration, inerrancy, Literal-Grammatical-Historical interpretation, a basic Bible study plan (exegetical method), and the relationship between the Old and New Testaments.

Course Context

This course is part of TEA’s Expository Preaching Program but it is open to anyone who desires to better understand how to interpret the Bible.


Course Learning Outcomes

By taking this course, the student will be able…

  1. To understand the significance of inspiration and inerrancy.
  2. To learn the principles to correctly interpret the Bible.
  3. To develop the ability to read and make observations on passages in the Bible.
  4. To develop a disciplined approach to studying and understanding the Bible.
  5. To grow in godliness and to worship God by applying the spiritual lessons learned from an accurate interpretation of His Word in life.

About your Instructor

Pastor Kito Espiritu
Pastor Kito has been serving on the pastoral staff of Higher Rock Christian Church since 2012. He graduated from The Master’s Seminary in 2022 with a Master of Divinity degree. He now lives in Quezon City with his wife Elynne and children Tammy and Kai.
