The course addresses issues such as biblical authority, the gospel, prosperity theology, the work of the Holy Spirit, religious pluralism, gender and sexuality, social and cultural ideologies, and syncretism. The course will pay particular attention to the challenges faced by churches and Christian leaders in the Philippines.
Students will be equipped to recognize doctrinal error, distinguish essential Christian doctrines from secondary matters, respond to theological disagreements with biblical conviction and Christian charity, and shepherd their congregations toward doctrinal maturity
