Communicating Biblical Messages is designed to help students communicate the truths they learn in their study of the Bible clearly and accurately to others. The focus of this class is on how to write and present an exhortation, devotional, or a short message in a public speaking or small group Bible study setting. Attention will be given to topics such as writing a clear main idea for the message, writing a speaking outline based on the textual outline of a passage of Scripture, how to craft an engaging introduction and more.
The course is open to both men and women with the expectation that the women taking the class will be teaching other women in order to honor God’s instructions in 1 Timothy 2:12.
Please note: Students must have already completed either TEA’s Bible Study Methods or Hermeneutics course, since this class builds upon the skills taught in those courses for studying the Bible and discovering the main idea of the biblical author.
